Freequently Asked Questions

Can you put a new deadbolt on my door?
We can definitely put a brand new deadbolt on your door. To do that, we’ll drill a hole and align the bolt with the door frame.
Do I actually have to re-key all the locks in my house?
We recommend that you re-key all of your locks in your new home. After all, you never know who might still have the keys to your house. Call us and we’ll take care of everything.
I accidentally locked my keys in my car. Will my insurance cover the cost of retrieving my keys?

Under most circumstances, you can get this cost covered by your insurance. For this to happen, you will need roadside protection coverage. If you have this service, you won’t have to pay any extra costs.

Do I have to re-key my locks if I rent an apartment?
Even if you rent, you should re-key the locks in your residence. This is especially true if you just moved in recently. When was the last time you got your locks changed? If it’s been a long time or you don’t know the answer, consider giving us a call. We’ll happily do the job for you.
I locked myself out of my home. Can a locksmith let me into my residence?
Our tools and training allow us to pick a lock to let customers into their homes.
What's the difference between a master key and a re-key?

With re-keying, we adjust the tumblers in a lock. Once this gets done, only a new key can open it. With a master key, two different keys can open one lock.

My key has a hard time turning in the lock. What do I do?

The first thing you should do is spray the lock’s keyhole and bolt mechanism with WD-40, a lubricant. If this method doesn’t work, call our office and a locksmith will come and take care of the issue.

My spouse wants to save money. Can I install a lock myself?

While you can buy a lock from a hardware store, they won’t work nearly as well as the ones our locksmiths will use. Plus, those store-bought locks break easily. Instead of installing your own locks, call and let us do the work.

Should all the locks on my house work on the same key?

All the locks in your home should work on the same key. Using the same key for all your locks allows for extra security. Since you and your family only need one key, you don’t have to keep track of multiple keys.

Why do I need to hire a professional locksmith?
Why do it yourself when you can call in the experts? Our professional locksmiths will bring in a lot of experience and knowledge to the job. Our staff has seen everything when it comes to issues involving locks and keys. We’ll bring our friendliness, our skills, and our professionalism to your home, office, or vehicle.
